A wallet linked to Ethena moved 170 million ENA, worth about $14.09 million, to trading platform FalconX, on-chain data shows. The transfer, flagged by analytics platform Onchain Lens, could precede an over-the-counter sale of the tokens.
The wallet received the ENA from Ethena's Gnosis Safe multisig last year, Onchain Lens said. ENA traded at $0.08307, down 0.71 percent in 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap, with the relative strength index at 27.26, an oversold reading that has since recovered to 47.26 as buyers defended support.
The move adds to supply pressure as ENA defends ascending support near $0.0817 on Ethereum. Spot netflows turned positive at about $375,510, according to CoinGlass, reversing recent outflows that had reduced exchange-side supply. The token reversed from $0.0817 toward $0.0842 after buyers defended the rising trendline established from July lows near $0.0700.
Ethena, a protocol issuing synthetic dollars and generating yield on-chain, faces a key test at $0.09, a level that rejected the token earlier in August. A confirmed OTC sale could expose ENA to $0.0768 support, while liquidation liquidity clustered near $0.085-$0.087 offers upside attraction if recovering demand absorbs the returning supply. Without official confirmation from the team, the intent of the transfer remains unverified.
Large token movements by project teams are closely watched because they can influence price stability. If the ENA is sold over the counter, it would introduce additional supply into the market, potentially pressuring prices. Conversely, if the transfer supports staking, lending, or other DeFi activity, the impact may be limited. The transparency of blockchain transactions lets the community monitor these flows in real time, but it also highlights the need for projects to communicate clearly to avoid unnecessary panic.
