SMB was created on 2008-02-22 by VanEck. The fund's investment portfolio concentrates primarily on investment grade fixed income. The ETF currently has 295.79m in AUM and 327 holdings. SMB tracks a market value-weighted index of investment grade, tax-exempt US municipal bonds with nominal maturities of 1-6 years.
