US spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted nearly $1 billion over seven consecutive trading sessions, the longest unbroken positive streak since May.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $68.99 million in net inflows on July 23, extending a seven-session streak to $999.38 million cumulative, SoSoValue data shows.
"The consistency suggests institutions are rebuilding long-term Bitcoin exposure through regulated ETFs," Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO, a decentralized verification protocol, said. Levin cited improving macroeconomic sentiment, expectations for easier monetary policy and cooling inflation as drivers.
Wednesday's inflow followed a $203 million session on July 21 and a $226.8 million print on July 20, with BlackRock's IBIT, Fidelity's FBTC and ARK's ARKB leading across most sessions. The current run remains below April's nine-session streak that drew $2.1 billion. Bitcoin traded at $65,729 at publishing time, down 0.3% over 24 hours, as the Crypto Fear & Greed Index slipped to 31 from 33.
The inflow cadence follows a 10-day outflow streak that drained more than $2.7 billion from the spot ETF complex through late June, ending July 2 with a $221.7 million session led by Fidelity and ARK. Whether the current pace is durable enough to shift the medium-term supply-demand balance will depend on macro conditions and the trajectory of US rate expectations.
Whale Accumulation and Regulatory Catalysts Reinforce the Flow Picture
On-chain data from CryptoQuant shows wallets holding 1,000 to 10,000 BTC accelerated accumulation after Bitcoin fell below $55,000 earlier this month, adding 66,700 BTC valued at roughly $4.4 billion over 60 days. The buying pattern mirrors prior accumulation phases by large holders, the analytics firm said.
Two regulatory developments have supported the sentiment shift. In the US, the White House reached an ethics deal that had been blocking the CLARITY Act, the bipartisan bill clarifying SEC and CFTC jurisdiction over digital assets, increasing the likelihood of Senate progress before the August recess. Separately, Russia's State Duma passed a comprehensive crypto market law on July 21 classifying digital assets as property under Bank of Russia oversight, effective September 1.
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, added $500 million to cash reserves through a new convertible notes offering while keeping its Bitcoin holdings unchanged, signaling balance-sheet preparation without spot market selling pressure.
