PancakeSwap v3 processed $3.1 billion in tokenized stock DEX volume since the start of 2026, making it the top venue for on-chain equity trading.
Tokenized stocks grew from $212 million in total DEX volume at the close of 2025 to $4.27 billion through the first three quarters of 2026, according to Crypto Briefing data. The category's share of all DEX spot trading rose from 0.1 percent to 4.34 percent.
PancakeSwap's $3.1 billion to $3.3 billion in volume edges out Raydium CLMM at approximately $3.1 billion, while Uniswap v4 trails at around $1.9 billion. The platform's daily peak came in late June 2026, when tokenized equity volume exceeded $565 million in a single day. bStocks on BNB Chain recorded $676.8 million in a recent daily snapshot.
The milestone reflects a structural shift in how equities trade. Traditional markets operate roughly 6.5 hours a day, five days a week, while tokenized versions trade around the clock. Fractionalization enables purchases without a brokerage account, minimum balances, or KYC friction, and composability lets tokenized stocks plug into lending protocols, yield strategies, and structured products.
The broader tokenized stock market hit $11.1 billion in volume across major DEX platforms in 2025, establishing the foundation for 2026's acceleration. Solana captured roughly 95 percent of all tokenized equity trading on decentralized exchanges in Q2 2026, recording approximately $5.8 billion in spot DEX volume — a 114 percent jump from the prior quarter. Raydium, Solana's largest automated market maker, crossed $3 billion in cumulative tokenized equity volume by June 27, 2026.
Backed Finance's xStocks product suite, launched around mid-2025, has been a primary driver. The lineup includes tokenized versions of familiar tickers — TSLAx, AAPLx, NVDAx, and SPYx — with more than 60 US stocks and ETFs available on-chain. Each token is backed 1:1 by custodied shares of the underlying asset, mirroring the structure of physically-backed gold ETFs.
PancakeSwap's concentrated liquidity model lets liquidity providers allocate capital within specific price ranges rather than spreading it across the entire curve, resulting in tighter spreads for traders and better capital efficiency for LPs. That design has helped the exchange capture the largest share of a market that barely existed a year ago.
By late July 2026, Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, began overtaking Solana in daily tokenized stock trading volume, averaging approximately $29.7 million per day. The competitive dynamics across BNB Chain, Solana, and Ethereum L2s suggest the tokenized equity market is still in its early innings, with venue share likely to remain contested as more issuers bring equities on-chain.
