Canton Network’s (CC) native token has climbed 8.5% over the past seven days, with the price holding near $0.1500 after the project announced a key network upgrade that enables atomic composability. The token has pulled back 6.9% in the last 24 hours in line with a broader market dip, with Bitcoin down 1.67%.
The network upgrade was released by Zeneth, an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) provider, which built an execution layer connecting Ethereum’s developer tools with Canton’s architecture, the Canton team said on Thursday. The key feature unlocked is atomic composability, a core DeFi principle that allows developers to combine multiple smart contract actions into a single, indivisible transaction.
Data from market observers remains constructive for Canton. The token is trading above its 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages, at $0.1501 and $0.1456 respectively. The daily Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) histogram is positive, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 57 suggests buyers are in control, according to data from May 15.
The immediate test for Canton bulls is to reclaim the $0.1700 psychological level. A daily close above that price could open a path toward the next key resistance at $0.2000. Should the current market-wide correction deepen, CC could find initial support at the 50-day EMA near $0.1501. Futures data shows traders have favored long positions, with the Open Interest-Weighted Funding Rate from CoinGlass at a positive 0.0065%.
The upgrade is significant for developers building on Canton, an EVM-compatible network. By enabling multiple operations to be bundled into one transaction, it can create more efficient and complex decentralized finance applications, potentially increasing demand for the network and its native CC token.
The positive technical structure follows other signs of ecosystem growth. Earlier in the month, the token broke a multi-month descending trendline after Societe Generale’s digital asset unit, SG-FORGE, joined the network as a super validator to deploy institutional stablecoins.
