"Chainlink's proven track record supporting large-scale markets made it a natural choice," Dimitrios Psarrakis, chief executive officer of ADI Predictstreet, said in a statement. "Through this integration, ADI Predictstreet can now provide transparent outcome resolution, efficient settlement, and fast payouts."
The integration uses Chainlink Runtime Environment, or CRE, to pull verified match results from authoritative sources and trigger automated settlement without manual intervention. The setup bypasses the human bottleneck that has plagued rival platforms. At least 11 US states have issued cease-and-desist orders against Polymarket and Kalshi over sports event contracts, with Nevada securing a court ruling blocking both platforms and Arizona filing 20 criminal counts against Kalshi for illegal gambling.
The partnership places Chainlink at the center of the most crypto-integrated World Cup in history. Kraken entered as FIFA's official crypto exchange supporter, and Chiliz fan tokens are live on Solana and Base. For Chainlink, the deal provides a real-world proof point that could attract additional institutional partnerships across sports and entertainment, where manual settlement has long been a friction point.
The selection builds on Chainlink's existing work with Myriad, another prediction market platform that adopted Chainlink as its exclusive oracle for World Cup markets. Myriad is also running a $100,000 trading competition on World Cup markets, with top prizes of $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000.
William Reilly, head of strategic initiatives at Chainlink Labs, said the tamper-proof auditability of Chainlink's blockchain-powered oracles will help reduce resolution disputes as the platform serves soccer fans worldwide.
The tournament features 48 teams playing 104 matches across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States, running from June 11 to July 19. Argentina opens its title defense against Algeria on June 16 in Kansas City.
