Goldman Sachs added three stocks to its July Conviction List, with two carrying price targets implying 63% and 22% upside.
"Following several years of execution challenges, Estee Lauder is heading into a positive, innovation-driven topline inflection that investors underappreciate," Bonnie Herzog, analyst at Goldman Sachs, said.
The firm set a $100 price target on Estee Lauder, representing a 22% gain from the stock's current price of $82.13. Herzog projects 450 basis points of margin expansion over three years, driven by revenue growth, an improving business in China, and internal initiatives. Nextpower, formerly known as Nextracker, received a $168 target from analyst Brian Lee, implying 63% upside from $103.10. Lee said the company is evolving from a pure-play solar tracker into a power technology platform, with non-GAAP EPS expected to compound at about 10% annually through fiscal 2029. Wells Fargo was also added with a $93 target and a 2.06% dividend yield, offering a more modest 6% upside.
The additions show where Goldman Sachs sees the highest conviction opportunities across consumer, energy, and financial sectors. Estee Lauder's turnaround story and Nextpower's platform expansion offer the most upside, while Wells Fargo provides a total-return play as it shifts from defense to offense under analyst Richard Ramsden's coverage.
The Goldman Sachs Conviction List is a curated selection of stocks the firm's research team expects to outperform the market. The list is reviewed monthly and updated to reflect changing market conditions and company performance.
