Honeywell Aerospace secured its largest-ever new-aircraft-selectable equipment win, supplying avionics and auxiliary power units for IndiGo's record order of 810 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, the companies announced Monday at the Farnborough Airshow.

The deal covers Honeywell's 131-9A auxiliary power units, advanced weather radar systems, traffic collision avoidance systems, and flight management systems. Honeywell will also deliver a comprehensive aftermarket program designed to optimize fleet performance, maximize aircraft availability, and streamline maintenance planning across the life of the aircraft. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Fleet resilience, operational efficiency and safety have been the cornerstones of IndiGo's growth strategy since inception."
IndiGo, India's largest airline, operates more than 400 aircraft and runs over 2,100 daily flights connecting 95 domestic and 40 international destinations. The carrier welcomed more than 123 million customers in fiscal 2026. It was named the Best Airline in India and South Asia by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards 2025 and ranked the sixth most punctual airline in Asia-Pacific by Cirium last year.
Honeywell Aerospace has supported IndiGo's operations since 2015. The selection deepens a partnership that now spans two fleet generations and positions Honeywell's systems at the center of one of the world's fastest-growing commercial aviation markets. India's aviation sector has expanded rapidly, with domestic air passenger traffic more than doubling over the past decade, according to government data.
For Honeywell Aerospace, the deal locks in recurring aftermarket revenue from APU maintenance and avionics upgrades across 810 aircraft over their operational lifetimes. The Phoenix, Arizona-based company employs more than 36,000 people globally and supports more than 10,000 customers across commercial air transport, business aviation, defense and space platforms. Honeywell has operated in India for more than three decades, supporting indigenous manufacturing and aviation development.
The Farnborough announcement comes as global aircraft manufacturers and suppliers compete for a share of India's fleet expansion. Airbus has logged record orders from Indian carriers in recent years, with IndiGo alone accounting for hundreds of narrowbody jets to meet surging domestic and international travel demand.
