Ritual, a project building a decentralized execution layer for AI, is signaling a potential token airdrop following a $25 million Series A funding round. The project, which aims to allow AI agents to operate on-chain, has not confirmed a token, but its community-building activities suggest a possible reward for early participants.
The project's significant financial backing comes from major venture firms, including lead investor Archetype, Polychain Capital, Accel, and Robot Ventures. This funding highlights investor interest in the intersection of AI and crypto, focusing on Ritual's core product, Infernet, a node network that connects smart contracts with off-chain AI models.
While there is no official $RITUAL token, prospective users are engaging in activities that often precede a retroactive airdrop. To potentially qualify, users are joining the project's official Discord server, completing tasks on a dedicated quest portal to earn experience points (XP), and actively participating in the community to achieve higher roles such as 'Ritualist' and 'Zealot'.
The ultimate goal for participants is to gain early access and be recognized as foundational members of the ecosystem, which could lead to a token allocation if Ritual launches one. The project's structure, which uses Discord roles to gate access to its testnet, suggests that these roles and quest completions are the most likely metrics for tracking rewards. Ritual's testnet went live in April, though a mainnet launch date has not been announced.
