GEM was created on 2015-09-29 by Goldman Sachs. The fund's investment portfolio concentrates primarily on total market equity. GEM tracks an index of emerging market stocks comprising of four sub-indices: value, momentum, quality and low volatility. The index uses multiple factors to pick stocks, and each sub-index receives equal weight.
