Dryden Gold Corp. (TSXV: DRY) reported a significant high-grade gold discovery at its Gold Rock project, with one intercept grading as high as 252.00 g/t gold over half a meter.
In a statement dated April 2, 2026, the Vancouver-based exploration company announced the discovery of three new zones—Sparrow and Ruby—on the Big Master Gold System. The company's shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange (DRY), the OTCQX (DRYGF), and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (X7W).
The highlight result was an interval of 4.25 meters grading 32.87 grams per tonne gold. This included a higher-grade section of 0.50 meters grading 252.00 g/t gold. The discoveries represent 300-meter step-outs to the northeast from the known high-grade zones at Treasure and Barrelman, indicating a potential expansion of the mineralized system.
These results could significantly de-risk the project and expand the known mineralization at Gold Rock, potentially increasing the project's overall mineral resource estimate. Such high-grade discoveries are rare in the industry and often signal the potential for a high-margin mining operation. For comparison, many operating gold mines have average grades in the single digits.
The successful step-out drilling suggests the Big Master Gold System is larger than previously understood. The company stated the new Sparrow and Ruby discoveries open up a significant area for follow-up exploration. Future drilling will likely focus on defining the size and continuity of these new high-grade zones.
Positive drill results like these are critical for exploration companies to attract further investment. The potential for a substantially larger resource could facilitate future financing for continued exploration and development at the Gold Rock property.
